I am Elaine Babb and I am a Monat Market Partner. I have made my hair my passion and my goal is to help others like myself with thinning, unmanageable hair to regain their dignity of hair loss, that there is hope and a solution.
Tell me how you got involved in your business?
Through a good friend of mine whom I trusted and had done business with before.
What does a typical day look like as in the like of someone who runs their own business?
I don’t even get out of bed before I check my emails and post on facebook. Always looking to see if I have had any questions asked about my products or somebody wanting more information.
What attributes does someone need to have in order to be really successful in this position?
Be a people person, want to share their passion, love what they do, able to demonstrate and know their product.
What are the biggest challenges that someone in this position would face?
People saying no, you have to be able to say nicely that it’s okay to be skeptic. I was too. Sometimes you have to just move on. Come back at a later time. But always be nice.
What did you do before you started your business?
Worked out side of my home at a 9-5. Bookkeeping
Please tell us about your business, the products you offer?
I am a Market Partner for Monat an anti-aging hair care company offering natural-based products and limitless opportunity.
What is your favorite part about working from home?
Setting my own hours, don’t have the expense of gas, clothes, meals. I can chat online with customers.
What can you tell me about your products?
Monat just came out with a new products or plans for growth?w Junior line (for children ) and the Intensive Repair Conditioner in April. They also came out with the new EYE Wonder serum for your eye lashes and eyebrows and the Rejuevenique Oil. Big hitters. I look for them to make the IRT Conditioner available in the IRT system real soon. I also believe they will go global soon.
What do you feel is your greatest sales accomplishment and when/why did it happen?
Getting my first VIP Customer which just happened for me this month. It happened because I have the best teachers I could ever ask for. Plus I have worked hard and will continue to do my very best.
How do you balance client expectations versus real expectations? How do you handle it when they are too high?
I am really new in this business. Two months to be exact. I haven’t had any real client issues to date but when I do and I know I will, I will have the best sponsor and back up from Monat staff. Everyone is just a phone call away and since we are one big family we help each other. Plus I feel our clients expect the best results and we give them what they want. Reality is our product works just as the client expects.
Pretend I’m a prospect and give me an example of a pitch of a product or service you are selling.
I would say something like: OMG (name) I have to share with you something I have just tried myself and I am absolutely in love with it. Then when she says what , I will tell her about my product and what it did for me. Then when she asks what it can do for her I would ask her what her issues are and then tell her what I know will work.
How do you keep up to date on your target market?
Through emails, sponsor and other upline and through other Monat Groups for Market Partners like myself. We are always informed of what is coming up and what changes are made so we can easily relay that to clients.

It stated as a vision. In October 2014, we officially opened our doors for business. In a short amount of time, we have accomplished incredible things, thanks to the dedication of our Market Partners, the enthusiastic support of our Customers and one-of-a-kind home office staff.

What is the best seller of your products?
It’s hard to say because I am not in the capacity to say for sure but I think it looks like the Rejuevenique Oil is going to be the best seller. It’s multipurpose is phenomenal; hair, skin, and nails.

It is a huge role with social media, I use it all Facebook, Paid ads, Pintrest, Tweeter, Instagram. Direct Sales Aid. Word of mouth is great.
How do you handle irate clients/customers?
I have not had that pleasure yet but when I do I will simply give them their options and it would be up to them to follow through.
What’s worse not reaching a goal every month or not having happy customers?
There again I have not had that pleasure to deal with that issue. But when I do I would say unhappy customers. I want my customers to know that there is no problem to big or too small that we cannot find a solution too.
